Net speed tests....a friendly competition.

Well...Iv'e been optimizing my connections as I just reinstalled XP x64 on my new HD. I was thinking that maybe we should have a post for bragging rights. This isnt my best result but I'll retest in off peak hours and see if I can achieve a bit more dl speed like Ive seen before.

i believe we had this kind of contest before lol ........and this should be in the entertain section

my download speed is 14.68MB/s. Up is a crummy .49MBS/s.
Time to get more upload bandwidth for servers.

this is on linux lol....windows is worse.... but can't wait for my own inter net

Ouch bunny! I should let you borrow some of mine! ;p my best Ive seen is 24.8 dwnload...but I didnt want to really put that out until I get a close test which will be in a few hrs. About 3am local is the best time for testing.

pretty much the best your gonna get out my net, and its so random too somedays it will stay a constant 6mbit but somedays it will drop to 0.2mbit.


Not bad on the ping test but we will see when my connection drops

well this is the best one I have documented yet....I did'nt save the best unfortunately but this will have to do atm.


Btw,clear out your temp internet files and all the accumulated junk before you test for the best results. All those old web pages you visited are trying to update in the background everytime you log on and sucking up your bandwidth, which in turn will kill your results. Promise you will go from ,to like !

Mine is pathetic, but tbh its all alot of bullshit, first of all im not with the carphone warehouse and secondly birmingham is NOT 100 miles from me, more like 250 300 ?

Well its pretty fine, especially downloading movies isnt pain in ass anymore lol, we still have some troubles with router, thats the reason its so slow but yeah, we are going to change it and then.... full speed lol and btw We are still thinking about 40/8 connection, I love how they are making optical nets here

i dont see the need for a 40/8 connection tbh.. unless you wanna downloadm a lot of porn very quickly.
ill just stick with my 10% buffering...15% buffering...21% buffering lol.

Well a 40/8 may be overkill...but I cant argue bcuz they upgraded me to it for no additional cost. Sad part was,I didnt even know of the upgrade until I started having modem problems and went to their online chat! After it was taken care of I ran a speed test and came up w/ huge #'s. Thought I had (and I did) an 8/2 connect.

Imagine my pleasant surprise at those numbers!!!
