This is the message I get sometimes when I try to connect to the nonbot server. Plus, it keeps booting in 800X600 resolution, not 1280X1024 (my monitor max). Thanks in advance if anyone can help, and it's good to be back and playing on the servers again.

It's your punkbuster. Try updating and/or removing any dud pk3 files.

Rofl!!! That is a possibility! I had a bot (botnet) compromise my system last month thru my email.(funny how 99% are undetected by Security programs...And I run the best ones. Oh yeah,bypassed a sandboxed browser as well.)

Found it....deleted all componets of it and windows never acted right after. So I reinstalled xp,and the install was fcked. Finally got a new copy of X64 and installed that....works beautifully again. Lol,installed it all Saturday busting my butt to get to a scrim that never happened
