Ping's too high. Can I change this?

Hej guys..
My ping on the Phoen!x_Nonbot server is too high, to frag a lill bit. So my question is if it's possible to lower your ping. Once I heard sumthing about /cl_maxpackets ''1000'' or sumthing. Does anyone knows more about this? Than plz tell me

Try doing /rate 25000 as well. Either that or shut down any programs using the net.

Doesn't work, at least i don't see anything happening
Already shut down my programs (except ET, this forum, and ETwc)

there is also /snaps 40 and /cl_maxpackets 100 /cl_timenudge -10

good luck my ping goes from zero to 500 every other frag. i dont understand.

i usualy only have a high ping when im torrenting or dling stuff

just make shure your not dling anything or doing an update or something and try this

there are lag issues with Nonbot I know its a pain in the ass but hang in there we will try to improve it
