Can't Read a DVD Empty Can't Read a DVD

Trying to read a DVD that was burned on another computer. My computer refuses to recognize it at all...just says that there is a blank DVD. I've looked up driver updates, there are none. I'm running Vista...any ideas?

Did you use a program like imgburn to burn the dvd or did you drop the files onto the dvd in computer?

If you did the latter you have to right click the drive and click eject, that way windows can close the track or else that'll happen. Try again XD

May also have been the wrong type of DVD for the burner as well. There are 2 different types (+ and -) and they're incompatible w/ each other.

Lot's of the minus types are marketed very cheaply (like Maxell 3 pks.) and they don't list the type except generally in the very fine print (and sometimes not at all).
