Web browser fail
So, I have used Google Chrome for a few months now, and just recently it stopped connecting to any sites because it says it can't establish a flibbin connection with the server. So I try my copy of Firefox and it works. This didn't make any sense, so while trying to figure out the problem over the last two days, my firefox now does the same thing, and I am stuck witht he original Internet Explorer lol. Anybody has any ideaz?
Re: Web browser fail
That happened to my desktop as well. After running avg I found a virus in windows/system 32/ svchost.exe so I don't know about you but I'm screwed
Try delete you internet history cache etc, uninstalling chrome, running a registry cleaner like cleaner, restart your computer, run the registry cleaner again, and install it and see if it works.
I think firefox has some diagnostic utility built into it so yu mitt want to try that out and see what it tells you.
Worst cAse senario, go to the firefox and chrome forums.

Re: Web browser fail
U might try running Avast free or Avira free. They both rank higher than AVG does on detection rates. Sounds like you've gotten hit by a virus like Boyo said.
More than likely, your just being redirected to a proxy server with the "Cannot connect" bs message while all kinds of things are going on in the background in hidden,or superhidden mode.
Also, just for shits n giggles....dl and install Malwarebytes. Really good program that closes alot of the holes most AV programs leave open.

Re: Web browser fail
Avast Pro is what I run with Malwarebytes to back it up. Built in sandbox ftw

Re: Web browser fail
boyo,
its really bad to run more than one antivirus program on one computer
eg: nod32 and avg = bad
but nod32 and malware bytes = good

Nice catch....I skimmed that and didn't notice. Yeah, that's definitely bad. Causes system instability, and actually messes with the detections. Unless, you do like I do. Which is to turn off the system services in for one or the other. That's the only way they won't interfere w/ each other.

Re: Web browser fail
I just have them scan at different intervals and I do have them all run at the same time if I believe I has a virus <.>
So AVG + Maleware bytes it is XD
EDIT: I was about to ask, anything different for a server? but I'm gonna put nasBox on it since I only have windows home server 2003 which is gettin old. Unless someone can recommend something better, other than a newer version of windows home server or mac server XD

Re: Web browser fail
AVG plus CCleaner plus AVG(or bitdefender if you don`t care about price like me) plus HijackThis plus Malwarebytes = Bullet, but prolly not RPG proof. If it still exists, black ice > AVG, bitdefender, HijackThis combined. Maybe Malwarebytes too. Stupid big companies killing awesome things.
