Can't Play. . .

Hello,

I connect to the internet via a 3G modem and have a daily package which allows me 500+kb/ps.

It's normally fine to play ET with, but for the past week, since I adjusted my rate and maxpackets I have been having issues with "connection interuppted" messages - while still having a good speed on other games, sites and so on.

Today this is only happening a little, after a death when I respawn I get that message for a few seconds, but now I have a bigger problem because I cannot target anything when moving - my gun just stays in the same place.

Mouse iS good, mousepad is good, new batteries and it does not sti9ck of freeze when not playing ET.

Any suggestions?

Might be Punkbuster or the stuff you tweaked. Make sure punkbuster is enabled and if that doesn't do it try to set maxpackets to 100 and rate to 2500. If that doesn't work /exec normal.cfg

its rate 25000? also are you running pb and et as aadmin?

I took Boyo's route of normal.cfg after trying the rate and maxpackets a bunch of times. Seems to be better now, largely, though I adjusted my mouse sensitivity and cannot remember what it was before

Default sensitivity is the nice round number 5.00. Mine is adjusted a lil higher so my mouse doesn`t go off my table.

lol mine is set to 20 on all my games xD i like being able to whip my mous earound

holy moly. that`s prolly more sensitive than an emo`s feelings right before they turn emo.
