Lol! If I ever make it big. Yes. They're not that expensive to make really considering the majority of required parts,I already have on hand. The basic machinery (compressor, motor, dryer, control panel and such) can easily be sourced from a 5000 + Btu window type AC system. The new condensor and flex lines are a little pricey though, and currently only one company in the world is manufacturing and selling those parts. Around $120 to $250 dependant on the processor socket type.

The downside is you have to insulate the motherboard to deal w/ condensation from humidity in the ambient air. Requiring the usage of a conformal waterproof coating. A heater element for the backside of the cpu socket and then by using a kneadable eraser compound around the area where the evaporator mounts to the socket. Then over the top of that you must layer Armaflex insulation. Without properly insulating, it's much more dangerous to your equipment. However, when done correctly...it's much safer than a closed loop water cooling system.

Not to mention packing all the sockets w/ dielectric grease to prevent pins rotting. All in all, it's a fairly labor intensive set of measures required to ensure your board, cpu, and ram don't get shorted out due to water exposure. All of the lines (high pressure and low presure side) must be insulated to prevent condensation on those as well.

It's by no means a cooling option you'll find on more than 1% of computers worldwide (laboratories being an exception to that percentage, home usage is very rare though).

It's probably a less expensive option to buy a pre-made system. There are currently 4 companies making Phase Change Coolers. I can guarantee if your outside of the U.S. purchasing one would be cheaper than shipping from the States.

On the downside, typically they are less powerful than custom made single staged systems like I'm planning. But, they're self contained and come with nearly everything needed for installation. Additionally, they also have warranties. The starting prices here in the U.S. are about as much as one would pay for a fairly fast computer, usually about $800 and up to about $1200 U.S.D.

I'm preferential to the custom ones bcuz I:

1.) Love building things myself
2.) Need more power than the factory systems can provide.
3.) Have the majority of the parts on hand anyway.
4.) I am liscensed in AC and Refridgeration.
5.) Already own all the tools I need to put them together.
6.) Need a system that is not self contained for adding additional stages to later.
7.) Need additional E-peen for bolstering the business, and nothing helps like more records.
